SurfProgress ("we", "our", or "the app") is an iOS app that helps you track your surfing skill progression. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we handle your information.

Information We Collect and Store

Data stored on your device: When you use SurfProgress, the following information is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad: your name, skill progress, XP, rank, surf sessions, and your quiver (surfboard list). This data is stored only on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or have access to this data.

Photos and videos: If you choose to add a photo or video when completing a skill, we access your photo library only with your explicit permission. Selected photos and videos are stored on your device to create shareable skill cards. We do not upload your photos or videos to any server.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking that identifies you. We do not use third-party SDKs that collect data.

Data Retention

All data you create in SurfProgress remains on your device until you delete it. You can reset all progress from within the app (Profile → Reset All Progress), or delete the app to remove all data.

Security

Your data is stored locally on your device and is protected by your device's security (e.g. passcode, Face ID). We do not transmit your data over the internet.

Sharing

When you use the Share feature, you choose what to share and with whom. Sharing is handled entirely by iOS and goes only to the apps or people you select. We do not have access to what you share.

Children's Privacy

SurfProgress is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at this URL and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
